Job description

One of the primary services Optiweb has to offer is developing custom solutions for Slovene and foreign clients. We thrive in custom development of online shops, web pages and web applications which are built on the PIM, Shopware, Magento and WordPress platforms. We have successfully developed over 50 e-commerce shops (such as iglusport.si, kozelj.si, bigbang.si, mass.si and intersport.si), over 200 web pages (kras.si, delamaris.si, inotherm.si) and a handful of web applications (cooling configurator and PC building configurator for Corsair, custom configurator for medical examination tables for Novak-M, MASS application for internal usage, etc.), from the very early stages of planning to the final stages of launching and maintaining them.


We are looking for Development Project Manager who will play a vital role in connecting the client and the internal team of experts working on the project (dev-ops, front- and back-end developers, designers, marketing, etc.). In addition to managing the project in hand, project manager will be responsible for establishing and nurturing client relationships, as many of our clients become long term partners in development projects, and be responsible to get to know the clients business, industry and vital organizational processes, with the intention to be able to support our sales department and upsell our services.



What else is Development Project Manager in Optiweb in charge of?

  • Managing 3–5 development projects simultaneously,

  • competently communicating with clients on one side and dev-ops, front- and back-end developers, designers, and other colleagues involved in the project on the other,

  • sprint planning, resource planning and monitoring project deliveries in line with the timeline and the budget,

  • preparing project documentation (functional specification, wireframes layout, flow charts, timelines, buyers journey…),

  • monitoring and coordinating multidisciplinary project teams using technical and people competencies,

  • preparation of reports about the work progress and the status of the project,

  • coordinating retrospectives and performing activities after the end of the project,

  • coordination of change and update requests and support tickets,

  • monitoring project metrics, monthly invoicing and reporting based on pre-agreed payment dynamics,

  • identifying, evaluating and managing project-related risks,

  • managing internal and external escalations and challenges with support of team leads,

  • consulting our clients about upcoming changes, requirements and innovations in the field of development,

  • supporting the sales department in signing new businesses, pitching and preparation of business contracts.


Job requirements

What do we expect from you?

  • At least 4 years of project management experience in development,

  • knowledge of the process of developing digital projects (different methodologies and tools),

  • affinity for technical understanding of web platforms and tech stacks (PIM, Magento, Shopware),

  • strong organizational, negotiation and interpersonal skills,

  • strong analytical capabilities and ability to juggle multiple responsibilities,

  • desire to understand business enviroments of our clients,

  • experience with web analytics tools (Google Analytics, HotJar, etc.),

  • a creative mind to overcome technical challenges,

  • great teamwork and ability to give (and receive) constructive feedback,

  • fluency in Slovene and English language (written and verbal).
